Stainless Steel Cage

When people in business talk of sending drawings on napkins to the factory and getting a brilliant product done in no time, they’re lying.

Our new for '08 Arundel Stainless Cage has taken forever to get right. At one point the factory guys told us to get lost. But we kept badgering them to work out the details; the tube bending, the stamped spine and the polishing. For example, a blasted finish is easy. A polished finish is not easy.

The original Arundel shape with two wrapped arms works well in stainless steel because there is twice as much spring tension holding the bottle. More "springy" grip equals less difficulty getting a drink, yet less chance of the bottle flying out. We use 4.2mm stainless tubing which saves some weight and isn’t too stiff. So, you get a timeless look that works great for a bargain price. In the Arundel tradition, we strive to make cool bike parts that work.
