Pump Head Replacement Grommet

Arundel pump head grommets are made from a type of neoprene rubber, NBR and shaped expressly to grip a Presta valve. The grommet is soft and forms an airtight seal against the valve. This softness does mean they will wear out, but they should last a long time under normal use. It's better they wear while gripping the valve as opposed to being hard and leaky.

It's not necessary to push the grommet onto the valve very far, especially on the Hansel. By adjusting the knurled cap, you can insure a good seal and positive release at the same time.
